Precision M4400 vs. ThinkPad W500 - which is more stable?

I was all set to buy an M4400 last week until I started reading about all the bios/driver/software issues people have had with them. Is the W500 a better choice for someone looking for stability out of the box?

 

i got no problems with my M4400... configuration see signature

i thought the W500 had issues with the display driver?

anyway the screen on the W500 isnt as nice as the ones available for the M4400.

i dint mean to scare you off nemt, hopefully with all the updates dell has released since us early adopters on this forum bought our units, will enable you to have a smooth out of the box experience. i just wanted you to be aware that there is a chance you might have to mess around with it a bit to get it to work properly
