    Hi,

reading about the nvidia problems with heat are making me start to worry about ordering the M4400. Does anyone know if the FX770 is affected by these issues?

    thanks

I would disagree. I've been getting variable frames depending on the heat of my m4400. I called Dell on it and they want me to ship it to a different department where they are going to disect it and see what the issue is. Right now, they don't know, so that's why they want to see my notebook.

They are shipping a new one out to me any day, so I'm going to see if I have the same heat issues with this new notebook.

i think you might be the only one having this issue on the 4400?

i heard the fx770 was based on the gf9600, but cant find any info on if this model had those issues or not.

im somewhat concerned, as i will be keepinng this laptop for 5 years.
