Has anybody tried to use Samsung SSD 960 PRO NVMe M.2 2TB in Precision 7720? (in specs there is 1TB capacity of M.2 only). Thanks in advance for reply.

I can't think of a reason why that 2TB SSD wouldn't work (but there might be some driver issues to be debugged). Perhaps the SSD didn't exist when Dell was testing the computer prior to launch and hence it isn't listed as compatible. There's plenty of history of this happening with notebooks (maximum supported RAM comes to mind).

I think it's more an issue that Dell didn't offer that capacity from the factory, at least not at the time the manual was printed. The 2TB model should work just fine.
