    Not running with Optimus on anymore (I don't normally use the system away from an outlet for extended periods of time and I have decided that the simplicity of having the NVIDIA GPU drive everything outweighs the Optimus power benefit, for me). I do remember from past systems seeing the Intel GPU not report as much to GPU-Z as the NVIDIA GPU. I think this may be normal behavior but someone else can confirm.

    As for the desktop context menu option, not sure about that either (I always just accessed the Intel graphics control panel by searching it in the Start menu). I do know that Dell likes to take some integration options like this out of their drivers. For example, with the NVIDIA drivers they have added a registry entry that removes the option to show the NVIDIA icon in the system tray. Not the power activity one I mentioned above, just the plain NVIDIA logo one. To get it back you have to use the drivers from NVIDIA and also manually delete that registry entry or select the "clean install" option when installing the drivers. You can try using the GPU drivers straight from Intel (that's what I typically do on systems that I set up). The installer will complain on the first launch (asking you to use drivers from your system manufacturer), but you can manually install the Intel drivers through Device Manager once, you can re-run the installer and it will be happy (should be done to finish installing audio components and such) — Also it will not complain for driver upgrades unless you get a Dell driver installed again at some point.

    Hello. I just purchased a 7730. I read some comments about interest in some users wanting to switch from 97whr battery and m.2 interposer to 64 whr battery and sata interposer. I'm trying to go in the opposite direction. If anyone is interested in a trade, send me a message. Dell won't sell the interposer without an SSD :(

    Has anyone here actually purchased a machine with a 2.5" SATA drive? The part numbers for the interposer and mounting bracket would be nice to have around. I'd be surprised if you can't buy these from Dell's spare parts department (not through the regular sales channels).

    @Aaron44126

    Thanks for the reply. I still haven't figured out what's causing my high idle load, but I've gotten the Intel context menu and the app itself by manually installing the Intel drivers using Device Manager.

    Apparently Dell's Intel driver also bundles a colour calibration profile for the display, as I noticed that installing the Intel drivers using the official installer made the display noticeably yellowish.

    Thanks. Looks like three parts...
    1. 2.5" mounting bracket DP/N 0F07VM
    2. Interposer mounting bracket DP/N 09DYY7
    3. Interposer, DP/N... 0DK36K? Actually can't quite tell.

    [Edit]
    Correction on 3., it is 0CK36K.

    sorry for poor photos, I rescanned the qcode with an app and got:
    CN0F07VMHNK0084S0231A00
    CN09DYY7HNK0084G2104A00
    CN0CK36KCMK0087K0096A00
