Has anyone run into issues with the latest updates (new BIOS plus a slew of new drivers, according to DCU)? I'm wondering whether to install and stick with what I've been using (which has been sort of stable for the last couple of weeks).

Saw it this morning. I'm interested in the iOS features if they actually work as advertised. Actually not sure what the requirements are to run this program, it'd be nice if it works on my old M6700 as well.

You have to use a workaround to use DMC with unsupported systems. I posted a few months ago about how I got it working with my 7730. It's simple.

The existing version lets you receive and reply to iPhone messages on your computer as well as receive app notifications on your computer. It's better than nothing, but it's not as seamless as, say, iMessage on OSX. Still, I use it daily.

I also saw that there's a new 40" 4K Dell Ultrasharp monitor on the way: https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/dell-refreshes-pc-monitors-ultrasharp-ces-2020/.

That might hit the sweet spot for me.

What is the max amount of ram that the 7730 i5-8500H would take?

    128GB

    (1) Dell's configurator stops at 128GB (4x32GB DDR4 2666MHz Non-ECC) but currently shows only an i7-8850H, not an i5 option. https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/cty/pdp/spd/precision-17-7730-laptop/xctop7730hwus
    (2) Kingston's memory upgrade page for the 7730 says 128GB. https://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search?model=98913&devicetype=3&mfr=DEL&line=Precision
    (3) Crucial's memory upgrade page for the 7730 says 128GB. https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Dell/precision-7730

Neither Kingston nor Crucial mentions memory limitations due to processor selection, i.e., i5 vs. i7.

Intel's i5-8500 page says the processor supports up to 128GB. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...5-8500-processor-9m-cache-up-to-4-10-ghz.html

What's people's thought on the Intel 760p supplied in some 7530's.

I'm seeing some low write speeds compared to my other drives?

So, the Jack Mic on my notebook doesn't detect microphones plugged into the combo 3.5mm port anymore:

There is currently a pair of earpieces, with a microphone (RHA m750i) plugged in. This problem did not previously occur. Does anyone have a clue why this might be happening?
