I have two configuration questions. 7730 (P3200) with 16GB (2x 8GB) Dell installed (under KB) any problem with installing additional 32GB (2x 16GB) of the same spec? Google seems to think no problem. Can the battery be removed if plugged into power supply?

FYI: I have installed Archlinux with nvidia driver from Arch in nvidia mode. Could not get switching to work. May revisit later.

    Thanks

Yes you can upgrade the RAM this way, I did the same thing to upgrade from 32GB (2x16) to 64GB. You can remove the battery and the system will work on AC power.

Sorry I should have been more explicit, I'm concerned that the two sets of modules are of different sizes one set 2x 8GB and one 2x16GB and any performance hit because of the different sizes.

    Thanks

    Hi everyone !

Is there anyone here who was lucky enough to try both "Dell Precision 7730" and "Hp Zbook 17 G5" ?

If so, how do you compare their respective buiild quality ?
Is there any undisputed 'winner' or it's just up to personal tastes ?

Honestly, I'm interested in this too. I haven't really found an active HP 17 owner's forum though. With this thread alone passing the 212 page count (the previous generation 7720 thread has 74 pages), I'm wondering if the 7730 laptop has really hit its' stride in the business community compared to the others. There's plenty of P72 reviews though.

This is fine. Make sure that speed and CAS latency are the same between all four modules and you should be good.
