    In short:

    7530:
    Non-MaxQ: P1000, P2000
    MaxQ: P3200

    7730:
    Non-MaxQ: P3200, P4200
    MaxQ: P5200

At least that's how I understood.

    probably a loose power cable?

try using throttlestop to monitor temps, if they're fine then untick "BD PROCHOT"

Occasionally my M6700 will throttle unreasonably. I've always been able to solve it by simply unplugging and replugging the power cable. (Rebooting doesn't work, that was originally the first thing that I tried.) Less than once a month occurrence and I typically move it between different locations multiple times daily.

My 7530 has been doing this, but only when using through the dock. They've replaced my dock which hasn't resolved the issue, and are now deploying a tech to replace motherboard on Wednesday. I have the i9 as well.

My 7710 throttles on occasion too, down to 400 or 500 Mhz sometimes when waking from sleep. It happens when I undock while sleeping then awake it undocked later. It doesn't happen all the time, just on rare occasions. As the others stated, unplugging then plugging the power cable back in rectifies this weird burp.
@Eric Vasilik ,You could try changing Max Processor State to 100% in power management as experiment, but I seem to remember even when I did that it would sometimes wake from sleep at 450 Mhz.

Well I’ll be joining the crew. I places another order with a i9 / p4200 / 8GB ram (will add more later) / 256gb nvme (will be putting in 4 - 2TB 970evo name drives) / UHD Screen / Next Fingerprint scanner / backlit keyboard / 3 year pro plus warranty / 3 year battery warranty

    Should be a decent config.

Why would he? It's an awful lot of extra cost for an awful little amount of benefit. You get more video memory and more pipelines, but are limited to the same power consumption. Unless you really need that extra memory or you're apparently better off with the P4200.

I just canceled the config I built with the p5200 earlier in the week and re ordered with the 4200. Learning that it was a maxq part (no hate on it, but I already have a 1080maxq with liquid metal on it) it didnt appear to have a long gap ahead of the p4200. If I'm wrong please let me know. I'd rather put that money into 128gb of ram down the road.

Does anyone know if the SD card is flush with the chassis on the 7730?
