Yeah, that is a HUGE difference. Would you possibly be able to post a screenshot from within the PassMark application, just as the other guy did? They might combine/simplify scores when they are uploaded to the site.

Geez man, no need to get so offended. Different strokes, different folks.

Just curious… (It’s been some time since I tried and then uninstalled DPO.) Does this profile actually do anything but leave the machine running the way it would run without DPO?

Wow!.. Half sized vertical arrow keys? Access to Home and End via Fn key? Are you kidding me?... :(

What were they thinking offering this new crap keyboard?

It is a top priced workstation. Majority of work done by people at workstations is closely related to reading / editing text. Developers, managers, editors, etc all do that. And now how they suppose to navigate the text? Using very small (actually half of size of a regular key) vertical arrow keys and/or navigate to Home and End, using two keys instead of just one? The basic and very important functionality has been significantly diminished with this new crap keyboard layout...

It is time for me to upgrade my old workstation. And I really hoped the Dell Precision line (and particularly 15") will to be the one, that I need. But unfortunately, with the new keyboard design they failed miserably... And as a result, I have to look somewhere else. I can't buy this expensive "toy" that have half-sized navigation keys and even missing some others... Sorry, Dell. You'll not get my money this time...

For the next time I hope that you will rethink the meaning of the word "workstation". And what I need is:
1, Full sized and all directly accessible navigation keys in place.
    2. 16:10 screen (or better yet 4:3, BTW, I'm typing this post on old Dell's workstation with 1600x1200, 4:3 display), and not 16:9. Let me remind you, it's not a movie station. It's workstation. And last time I checked, we still read/write text (doing our work on workstations), that is arranged vertically, not horizontally.
Make it happen next year or you'll never get my money again... :(

Good luck on the screen ratio. I hear you, but it's a lost battle at this point.

You could probably get a nice deal on a M4800 from the Outlet or new - it has full sized arrow keys and F1/2/etc.-sized home and end keys. I'm quite happy w/ mine.

I'm also currently looking at other options due to the keyboard.

Well, I just ordered one after haggling with dell chat. Expected delivery date 12/21. How have actual owners liked theirs so far?

    1. The motherboard is removable and replaceable as per the owner's manual.
    2. Carbon fiber is much more resistant to damage than aluminum which is prone to denting and deforming.
    3. I can't say much about that other than I'll judge the sound when I hear it.
    4. HDMI to VGA and USB to VGA adapters are pretty cheap and common, so you have backwards compatibility while having forward looking ports. With USB type-C and Thunderbolt 3 coming why bother with eSATA? Full size DisplayPort? That's nit-picking; better than other machines with only HDMI 1.4.
    5. With USB thumb drives so cheap these days (and with far greater capacities) it is not as much a necessity. Also most software distribution are cloud based or digital download nowadays.

You can complain all you want, just buy a different laptop! Different strokes for different folks.

And yes, I have one on order
