    Hi all,

I am planning to get a 7510 with a 4k screen which would be used mostly for Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.
One of the laptops I am considering has a FirePro W5170M installed, and I have just found a thread on the Adobe forum mentioning problems with a similar configuration where the users were not able to force the Adobe SW to use the AMD instead of the Intel GPU.

    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2286724

Does anyone have experience with a similar model + Adobe software? Is it possible that the issue was fixed with recent BIOS updates?

If other options fail, is it possible to replace the card with some of the Nvidia models?

    Thanks in advance..

    Thanks don_svetlio,

However, there are some fairly recent threads on the Dell support website indicating problems with that same configuration, in cases when Switchable graphics is disabled in BIOS. It would be great if someone with a same configuration could confirm that the laptop is trouble free..

I don't have switchable graphics disabled, but I could try it if you really feel that's important, but after setting lightroom to use the discrete option in the video card drivers, I do see "AMD FirePro W7170M" under the graphics processor section in adobe lightroom -> preferences -> Performance.
