    looks like a lot of people had some time to look at precision 5540 prototype at the computex stuff recently. for example:

    TBH it looks about like the same laptop although I am glad they are giving xeon a dedicated graphics option. Mine has the p1000 that will basically sit idle its entire life. and a 4k matte, non-touch option is cool. But I doubt it'll be a performance upgrade enough for me to upgrade. i7-9850 is barely a jump and the xeon is barely different from the current 2176m.

    Was hoping for more exciting update but I don't think this is it.

    -How long does the battery last with regular tasks (web browsing, excel, etc.) ? Do you have the 4k panel ?
    -Does your machine support DisplayPort 1.4 trough the tunderbolt port ?

    -What is interesting about the new model is the new quadro t2000. It is faster than p2000 and has a lower TDP of 60 vs 75 for the older one. A good compromise between power and stamina.
