When powering my laptop down, it comes up & says that the power meter cannot close down & asks if I want to force close. It still won't power down, and I have to hold the power button to get it to finally power down. Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue?

Is this a Dell utility or a Windows function? If it's the former have you just tried re-installing it?

I'm really not sure. I know just enough about computers to be dangerous. Whether it has anything to do with the above problem or not, it's also having issues connecting to our wi-fi. I had cleaned everything off of it & got a new laptop, but I loved my vostro and would like to have it operational again. I've even tried to reset it to factory settings & am having a difficult time even getting it to do that.
