    Hi everyone,

I have this rubber button between keys that was loose and eventually came off:

    keyboard-button.jpg

I tried sticking it with small drop of SuperGlue in it and it worked for a while until it came off
again. I don't use it almost except in situation when I don't have mouse close.

After it came off again and sticking it again I noticed problem with sensitivity when pressing
and moving cursor to the left. Whether I press slightly or apply more pressure the speed is
same and it's slow. It's slow when I want to quickly move cursor to the left no matter how
much pressure applied. When I try to do same and move to the right the sensitivity works
properly as I change the pressure level.

    What could be the problem?

The rubber nub is probably just older and worn loose (loose fitting). It is meant to simply pop ontop of that white plastic stick. I wouldn't put any glue on it. That could drip into the mechanism and cause a worse problem. Instead, get a replacement rubber point stick cap/nub. A newer one should sit on it much tighter than the old worn out one.

Search for "dell point stick" and you should see alot of various items that fit the description. Pick and order one that is designed for your laptop.
