The rubber cap on my pointing stick is pretty much worn out.

Will Dell send me out a replacement cap if I'm covered under CompleteCare?

I assume so, but just wanted to check before I spend some time on the phone (Dell Canada doesn't do the online chat thing for some reason or another..).

Ok, Dell Chat was working tonight for me in Canada.

But they have to send out an entire keyboard, as the little blue doohickey doesn't have a seperate part number.

Weird, eh? And since I'm going to probably have to repeat this every year I own the laptop, seems like a huge waste to be sending me a replacement keyboard every time..

Will a Lenovo cap fit on the Dell? Lenovo sells a pack of them for ~ $10 with different textures for the Thinkpads.

I'm quite certain they have a part for the nub(s), they may have just had trouble finding it. In my past Dell machines I actually used to get spares in a packet with different colors. And yes, they will send you pretty much anything like that with complete care (I got new rubber feet for example).
