Looks nice. Wouldn't mind working on one.
What about stuff like the a backlit keyboard, fingerprint scanner or webcam?

I don’t think that would be necessary, as they are working in well lit offices, and we don’t want them to play with a webcam all day, the fingerprint scanner will probably be too advanced for our users, no need to confuse them anymore ;)

They do come with the 6cell battery, a 9cell will most likely be a waste as they are mostly stationary, hooked up to the power grid all the time.

    • I'd replace the 3 year ProSupport for End Users against Basic Warranty. The End User Support will give you Support on the weekends... I think it will not be neccessary for notebooks that is used in a company.

Smart choice, as I handle all the support on our computers, and that I dont work in the weekends, I dont really care what the employees do with their computer in the weekend, but if they destroy it, they can only blame themselfs, and the computer will be fixed monday, never really checked up on that. Tanks for the headsup!

how is your company's laptops batteries failure rate? my vostro 1400 battery failed just over one year while 99.9% of time i use with power adapter rather than battery.

To be honest, it is most common with the 120L computers, just arround one and a half year, and we have had theese for three, so I have seen that some have actually been changed twice, out of the 200 we got I would say atleast 230 battery changes over three years.

Are they allowed to take them home (for personal use and/or work)? If so, such small gimmicks might make their they a bit more on the sunny side :).
Obviously not needed in office though.
