yup...i paid more but got it for free in the end because Dell refunded me the whole buy which also included a bluetooth keyboard/mouse, they sent me the wrong one so i wanted to send it back. Got a refund but they said i could keep the keyboard/mouse. lol

I just bought a WUXGA RGB LED from the outlet. It was the first one I've seen available. T9400, 4 gb ram, 64 gb samsung ssd, dvdrw, backlit keyboard with intel 5300 wireless and Bluetooth for $1155 pre-tax (after a 15 % coupon). It shipped a few hours after I ordered it.

I'm also looking at dell outlet for a laptop. What kind of experiences have you guys had buying from them?

Is it a real crap shoot or do they generally have good stuff. I'm not fussy about a scratch or two.

    thanks much

Just got my Refurb M4400 today, and it's been my first bad experience with the outlet. Trim pieces not attached, one piece in wrong, scratches and dents that should have made this system a Scratch&Dent instead of a Certified Refurbished, a DVD drive that seems to be partially broken, runs too hot to keep on my lap even when doing nothing...

    Ugh, WUXGA+ on a 15.4".....

I don't think I'd get the box open before my eyes calmly detached themselves and quit on the spot.

it was a bit of a pain on my inspiron 8600 and i was looking to get a 17" to replace it, but in the end was forced to go with a 15" and im not regretting it, vista scales really well.

and the zoom feature on the touchpad is brill.

its mainly on the web and in word, maybe msn which i found it uncomfortable, but firefox and msn both support zooming, and i can do it on the fly with the touchpad, same thing in word/office
