    Is the 1700m worth it for m4400 @ $250 over the fx 770m ?

    i think the consensus is, in short, no.

    only gives a marginal increase in performance, for a huge jump in power consumption, and additional heat.

    To answer a question like that, we have to know the big question:
    What would you be using the laptop for?
    afhstingray pretty much got it though, in general, it will not be worth it.

    Thanks guys, a minor increase in performace for $250 is not worth it for me. I'll stick with the 770m
