Maybe, but I was follow the various Inquirer reports on this subject last year at a time when most people were still denying that a problem existed and the Inquirer's analysis proved to be very accurate.

The Inquirer is a very bad news source. Mainly poor rumors they turn it into biased anti-Microsoft, anti-Nvidia, news.

The only affected GPU is the Laptop version of the 8 series. FINAL!
    Everything else has no problem.

Ain't that the truth. Just last year I absolutely hated Intel graphic chips and never figured I'd buy a machine with one. Now I actually have chosen an Intel 4500MHD over an Nvidia 160M due to the reports from all of you on the lower heat and the better battery life. Next year, at this rate, pigs may fly!

I have an E6400 with the Intel 4500MHD that I use at home and another E6400 with the nVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M for work. The only difference I've noticed between the two is the superior battery life of with the Intel graphics...and the fan kicks on more frequently with the nVIDIA graphics.
