NO VIDEO on restart, normal operation when power down/on

    Any ideas?

    I am using a Precision M6600

    When I power the machine on from it being OFF, everything seems to work fine.

    When doing a RESTART, the machine boots up properly, (I hear the windows intro music, etc), just NO VIDEO.

    I can use the keyboard to cause the music player to start and play etc...

    I have the ATI FirePro M8900

    I can via the HDMI port to my TV.
    Video output shows when booting up (DELL logo, BIOS begins (or ?)), but then goes black along with the Laptop screen.

    looks like a software - driver issue

    Can you try booting into safe mode and see what happens

    F8 Key during boot up
