That's impressive, I thought it was just a mild overclock of the M6000
I'll update with newer scores later, but thus far this was the maximum for the M6000 score I got AFTER going 1010/1300:

    3DMark Score P4086
    Graphics Score 3727
    Physics Score 8303
    Combined Score 3938

    SvenC,

    Another question :)

Should I change anything in the BIOS before installing SSD? I want to do a fresh windows 7 install on it...

    Thanks

The m6100 have more core, I mean "stream processor" , not clock speed.

On my system SATA mode was in RAID and I left it that way as I created a RAID-0 with two drives.
Otherwise AHCI would be goof, as SSD firmware updates tend to require AHCI mode.

I did not buy 3DMark 11, so I did download the free version, which is called Basic Edition.

The test itself ran with preset "Performance" 720p. "Full 3DMark 11 Experience".

SvenC, thanks for sharing your score.

What temp did you notice during test? Could you post HWinfo screen?
Did you try overclocking this m6100?

    Regards.

Well a fall/drop with any computer is not something that anyone would welcome, but when it comes to impact resistance, polycarbonate is the king:

I once saw someone knock over one of Apple's earlier Macbooks off a desk and it just bounced once and was none the worse for wear. I shudder to think of the outcome had that been my Precision.

Even so, aluminum (reinforced) is light, conducts heat well, and is completely recyclable, so it remains the best choice especially as far as the environment is concerned. I would if I could stick with that for anything beyond a ultra light notebook.

The fans stopped shortly after the benchmark was finished. So I think temps did not go up too much.
Did recognize any heat when I continued typing.

No overclocking. Do not know how and don't plan to do.
