    Agreed.

My first Dell system was a Dimension 4100 desktop running a coppermine 866mhz with 256mb ram. It lasted 10 yrs. I was using it as network storage when my basement flooded and finally killed it. I had upgrade the ram to 2gb over the years, and it was running Win7 comfortably when it finally met its demise.

I am a Dell fan, and have been since I bought that first machine. I understand that the PC market is tight and margins are razor thin, and also understand that most consumer electronics are created equal so to speak, but c'mon. Are they actually going to just rebrand this latitude with all it's current deficiencies, as a 'Precision' and expect people to spend their hard earned cash on it under the guise of "students and business can own a cheap precision" ??? Really??? If somehow they manage to put this out to market without serious thermal/throttling issues, then what does that say about their concern/commitment to their 'valued ' customers who are stuck with crappy latitudes?

Looks exactly like a E6540 just with Firepro graphics.

They also had the M2400 before, which was a 14" one.

    If it's a rebadged E6540, it'll be matte.
