Is anyone having issues with their bluetooth?, i had a tech come here today and he basicly took the entire thing apart not to find the bluetooth chip... its nowhere tobe found. anyone know where it is located? The tech left the chip here so i could replace it myself if i can find it.

The bluetooth module on the M6500 is not the same module as Dell has used in the past. The BT module is very small and located behind the LCD bezel. The service manual is showing the UWB module located under the door. The BT mobule and UWB module are seperate on the M6500.

    On the battery...

Got 3 hours battery life with the screen at half brightness and the wi-fi on the whole time. I did put it into Windows 7 "balanced" power mode. Even with the fastest cpu and gpu, the M6500 has a great battery life for a 17" chassis. My M6300 never made it to 2 full hours.

I guess that's because the battery is new and fresh. In any case though it is very impressive and seems very promising. I wouldn't expect it to last more than 1.5 hours.

I guess that confirms the compatibility issue if they canceled other orders, too. :( I received my 5300 card yesterday. Its funny because last month, I received the docking station, a slim power adapter (from a re-order mixup) and now this network card... yet still have yet to have a machine to use this goodies with.

Regarding the i7-920M upgrade... I was a little irate after a customer service rep got "trigger happy" and canceled my previous order before telling me they where going to redirect my call to my sales rep for that December price adjustment. If they didn't cancel the order and I got the price adjustment, I would have my Covet right now. (it was scheduled for 1/6 delivery).

This is why my sales rep got management approval for the processor upgrade. I've been waiting for this thing since I originally ordered it on Dec 2!

Well, good for you then....I tried, but he's like....whaaa....500 buck upgrade over a 35 dollar wireless card? haha...I couldn't say anything but give me the card I want free which he did....I ordered Dec 30 so I'm not as irrate yet....but I have been pushed back over this card thing....:D :D

btw, I did get the 1220. buck discount on the Covet, which I'm waiting desperately to 'Covet' :)

mitchellboy, I'm confuse because you said owning an WUXGA RGBLED screen as Samsung SEC5443 and I know another guy that own an M6500 WUXGA WLED with same SEC5443 screen. Something is wrong here.
