The cloths that Sony sent over after every 'repair' that happened on the pile of **** that was the VAIO TT in particular. One especially went back seemingly on a rubber string so I have a small drawerful of these blue oversized lenscloth-like cloths.

And what is up with that really? What kind of message does that send to the user? My systems are invariably clean and the cloths may indeed be useful but ultimately did it not occur to anyone at Sony to think that the message they're sending with this is "Oh yeah, we're sending you this cleaning cloth as a snide reminder that your system needed cleaning".

Send money-off coupons for your stuff for example. Don't send bloody snide signs.

Mind you, as you can see above they did actually come in useful. although I'm using them first over other e-cloths / freebie screen cleaning cloths mainly so that I can throw them all away first when they wear out, to rid myself of reminders of the 'TT Incident'.

Sorry for the rant. Anything with 'Sony' and 'Service' sends me into a rage

Or depending on your preference Sun Virtualbox is free and, imho much better than Virtual PC.

Just make sure you have virtualisation enabled in BIOS for it to run nicely

Unless I have a sudden attack of fiscal responsibility, I'm about to pull the trigger on an M6500. I love the expandability, and it's a handsome unit, unlike so many others.

    (1) Are the mobile broadband and bluetooth options user-upgradable?

    (2) Several in this thread have talked about re-installing a fresh Win7. Do you mean from the (optional) Dell/MS Win7 CD/DVD?

    Thanks.

Well, after 3 nights of a min. of an hour and somtimes up to 3 hours. Dell's best tech.s in thier ELS department (Specialization Department). They are sending me another replacement machine! This will be my 3rd one and I'm praying that it does not have any issues.

I guess we will find out in about 15 days.

I really hope that it works fine because I am tired of wasting my personal and work time dealing with these constant problems. Also I really like this machine and just want it to work right!

Best of luck to the rest of you on your luck of the draw!
