    Couple questions.

    - How bad is bloatware on a Precision laptop?

    - If I plan on doing a clean install of Win7 x64, whats the best way to determine which drivers on the Dell site I require? There seem to be a ton of options!

    - If I use NVidia's AutoCAD driver, will my occasional gaming experience suffer? If I use NVidia's Performance driver, will my ACAD experience suffer?

Laptop will come with the NVidia Quadro 2000M.

    Thanks!

    Hey.

    - I don't remember the bloatware being bad. I hardly remember any. Though I have so many programs on it now that a hardly know what I have anymore :)

    - There is a program called Dell Client System Update (DCSU) that should automatically get the latest and greatest (and relevant) ones. I use it sometimes.

Hope you enjoy your new laptop!

Edit: To be clear. I haven't done a clean install then use the DCSU to get my drivers (yet), but here's some info on it from Dell.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the info.

You're right about the bloatware... there isn't much on here compared to the XPS or consumer laptops. Perfect!!

First off welcome to the big leagues! Amazing laptop and the cream of the crop of workstations.

As far as drivers go if you get the resource dvd from dell it will show a check next to the drivers you need to install and makes it easy as pie to setup your rig as all you do is click and follow the prompts. I cannot comment 100% on the professional nvidia drivers and gaming, but I can say the ATI with the dell professional drivers games like a champ! So I found no reason to switch to newer gaming drivers.
