Latitude 14 Rugged Notebook | Dell

Their original "XFR" line is now "Rugged Extreme" and the traditional ATG line turned into just "Rugged" line. Looks like the Rugged alone does all the job with less shock resistance.

Great overall design, but was looking for something thinner. Great to see full ruggedness, but too thick compared to what I was waiting for with ATG line refresh.

The whole line up is very much of a step backwards. No longer supporting full voltage processors. Yea yea you don't need the power, need more battery, etc, but should not have been swapped out for the full 14" size models.

    That's a bummer Dell!

I consider the Latitude 14 Rugged and Rugged Extreme semi rugged laptops. Higher performance than most such machines in the class. For most people, plenty rugged. Panasonic and Getac full rugged the most rugged, but as a rule lower performance than these Dell ruggedized Latitude models. Each has their applications. These laptops are built for extra ruggedness and durability in the field in adverse use cases. Not so much to be thin and chic. Think industrial tools.
