I got the P9500 processor in my E6500. Have you thought about the E6500 instead of the M4400?

While it appears strange that Intel doesn't offer the faster P series CPUs on the workstations, perhaps the reckon that the power consumption difference between the P and T CPUs is insignificant in the context of the overall power consumption. This is the type of notebook that would benefit from switchable graphics so that powerful GPU doesn't leak power when away from a mains socket.

I second that, and would love that option on the E6400. Oh well.

I just asked an agent about the P9500 and P9600 on the M4400 and she told me she does not have any info on when/if they will be available.

Am I glad to see that news :D For now I see it is offered only in the US, not on the Irish site though. But I think it won't take long until it is available there too. The price difference between the P & T processors with the same frequency is 60$ :rolleyes2: ... a bit overpried but acceptable for the needs of a mobile user.
    Thanks a lot briggart! :notworthy:

The P9600 has been pulled after a week or so of being offered :(

Yes, I noticed that :( Thanks for the info. Anyway, I ordered mine with the T9400 and probably will upgrade it myself later on. Right now, P9600 is offered in ebay for about 100-150$ which is a hell of a deal!

    Cheers!
