    Here you go folks!

For those looking for the instructions on how to make the 5630 WWAN card work in Dell laptops not officially supported by Dell.

You will need to download the latest 5630 WWAN card Drivers and Utility from the M6700 download page at Dell's website. That is the only thing not included in the zip pack.

Just as an FYI, the Windows 8.1 Drivers and Utility will work in Windows 10. I am currently using it on my M6800 as I have migrated the 5630 from my old M6500 to it.

You need to modify the dell_wwan_sysID.dat file to include that 5630 (or bypass the authentication) and it will work. It is the driver that refuse to install, hardware wise is compatible.
I did once for putting M4400 WWAN 5530 card into M4600. I forgot the procedure anyway, you may search around the web there are some articles on how to modify that file.
Every WWAN card from Dell is tied with 1 or 2 model only, which is really annoying.

YES!!!!!! HELL YEAH~~~~ I am happy to report that I have managed to get the setup working! It is not modifying dell_wwan_sysID.dat file, as it does not exist in setup for 5630. Rather it is to modify SystemID.txt located inside SystemID.zip.

Both the Driver and Utility now installs correctly by itself without any error messages popping up and everything works!

Spend half a day poking around and realized I have been going at it wrong! You don't even have to touch the MSI file! Sweet~~~

Woah! I spent an enormous amount of time a few months ago playing with a DW 5720 from a D630 that I had wanted to put an E6510. After messing with it for a few days, I gave up on it, having not been able to get it to work. Too bad I hadn't stumbled upon this forum, as it would have saved me a ton of time! I ended up putting it into a XT2 instead ,which supported it natively. Oddly, the card will flash in and out in device manager (in that it will disappear and reappear a few seconds later) unless it's turned on and in use.
