    Hey Guys,

I need to order a couple Dell E6400's for my company. We want to do 4 monitors on each one through a docking station, that is the part that is giving me some trouble. Does the E-Plus docking station have a built in video card that supports multiple monitors? Maybe a USB configuration would be better? I'm not really sure and would love some advice/guidance.

As for just getting desktops, we thought about this, but we do a lot of traveling. We need to have the four monitors in the office and the capability to take only the laptop for trips...

    Thanks,

    Mike

Edit: I'm also stuck on battery's... I want to get really long life batteries and I'm not so much concerned with having a dvd drive, rather battery life. I see there are battery slices, but my optimal solution would be two 9 cell batteries always in the laptop. Is that possible?

No, the docking stations are, in practice, very large (and very practical) hubs. I think the maximum external monitors you can run on the E6400 is two, on the advanced docking station.

No, that's not possible. You can get either 4-, 6- or 9- cell as a main battery, and a 12-cell secondary battery that goes under the laptop. I would also love a battery in the modular bay :)

Thanks for the feedback, is there an USB device that can run 4 monitors? I can try two 24" widescreens first I suppose.
