    Please forgive me for not speaking English , the following, are obtained using machine translation :

    Problem is : When I click on the screen with one finger , it should be a tactile feedback , but there are numerous tactile feedback , see the following picture :

    The most surprising is that this issue is currently found only in a certain range appeared in my office (about a range of 4 square meters ) ! ?
    When these units E7440 to get the other room , the fault disappears !

    Just E7440 into a certain range of my office , there will definitely be more fault ;
    In this range of space, I tested the following states:
    1. Use the E7440 on the table ;
    2. use in the hand ;
    3.Connect the power supply is not connected or use ;
    4. connection DELL Precision M6700 power use ;
    5. connection DOCK use ;
    6. on the use of fully insulated plastic sheeting ;

    The test results are the same, there will certainly be the same fault ;
    It is noted that , if the connection of the power supply E7440 , the phenomenon is more obvious fault ! Not connected to the power failure , then a little bit small .

    We know that some of the built-in radio phone after connecting headphones to listen to the radio ---- I have this E7440, just connect the power , it 's a touch screen like the radio antenna connected , as there will be more serious symptoms.

    My guess is that my office is relatively large range of electromagnetic interference , resulting in this E7440 touch screen malfunction.

    However , I also in the same range , the ThinkPad T410s touch screen test , ThinkPad T420s touchscreen , SONY VAIO Pro13 touch screen , two SONY VAIO Tap11 touch screen, touch screen are five machines which appear normal .

    So, I guess this is my E7440 for EMC / EMI problems ---- part design problems , or problems in manufacturing .
    DELL machine is now applying to be replaced with new machines.

    While not perfect, the translation is at least understandable. It definitely sounds like there is some electromagnetic interference. It could be due to the panel used in the E7440 itself or it could be a combination of things. I don't own an E7440, so I can't even try to recreate the problem. You should definitely contact Dell about this though.

    One thing you could try is to disconnect all the antennas from the WLAN and WWAN (if you have one) adapters just to rule out the interference somehow coming from those.

    Also, is the power adapter grounded or not?

    I've tested the E7440's WLAN and WWAN are closed, or even using a LAN, the same fault in a range in my office;
    I also tested the power adapter is not connected, use only batteries, work up on the table, the same fault occurs in the same place.
    Even, I also tested the power adapter is not connected, use only the battery, E7440 in our hands to work the same fault occurs in the same place.

    Power adapter is grounded condition, I have tested.
    But no matter how kind of test ----- in the same place, the same conditions, the other a few touch-screen laptop (ThinPad T410s, ThinkPad T420s, SONY VAIO Pro 13, SONY VAIO Tap11) have absolutely no touch screen malfunction.

    So, now I guess is this E7440 EMC / EMI problems.

    Currently, I am still waiting for a reply DELL relevant departments.
    If there are any new progress, I will return the first time here.

    I have to apply for replacement DELL machines:
    DELL customer service personnel Re: This is a question of my own use of the environment, it can not be replaced with new machines.

    I am angry!

    DELL relevant personnel have contacted me again, it's not made use of my problem, because I have five other types of touch-screen laptop computer can be used normally in the same environment.
