Just yesterday I tried to use the media buttons on the front of my Vostro 1500 like I have countless times before, except this time the whole lappie freezes. I can still move my cursor around, enter task manager and puch the windows button, but can't select anything etc. I havent changed anything apart from unsuccesfully trying to install Battlefield 2142. Any ideas to fix this? Have tried searching for it, but couldn't find anyone with similar problem
    Cheers

    Update
Have also noticed that it happens then I try change the volume in the taskbar, all the buttons in the bottom toolbar stop working, but when I try using the media buttons on front of lappie nearly all the buttons stop working.
    Anything?

What have you recently installed? I fixed mine by doing a system restore to before installing BF2142.

Strange that it would happen out of nowhere, try doing a system restore to your last restore point. I would suggest phoning support if you can't find any more info (www.google.com), I emailed and the person told me I had to reinstall windows because he didn't know how to fix it. If you phone you will always be able to get them to talk to someone that might have a clue.
