    Hi,

Can someone tell me what the max memory for a Latitude e5530 is if it came from the factory with 2 x 2GB of RAM. Every place states that it is 8GB @ 2 x 4GB. However, I see that 16GB is supported if ordered directly like that from the factory. Is that option truly only available direct from factory? Thanks for any info.

If they're shipping 16GB from the factory, you can almost certainly install 16GB yourself.

Any Ivy Bridge CPU should technically support 16 GB of RAM with a 64-bit OS unless there is some crazy restriction put there by the manufacturer and I haven't seen those in a very long time.
