I have a Precision M6700 with a Quadro k3000m that is not recognizing my monitor (HP zr2740w) via the display port.
It does recognize it through the DVI and in the Nvidia CP says it is connected via display port but is actually physically connected via DVI. Also the resolution will not go higher than 720p.
I have switched out the docking station, moved my monitor to a coworkers station (worked), moved my laptop to a coworkers station(worked), and traded docking stations(older version) with a coworker (worked).I'm out of ideas and really tired of 720p. IT has no solution, even working with Dell on Pro Support.
Also the Quadro handles the display ports while the Intel handles everything else. Nothing makes sense and even another coworker who received their laptop at the same time is having the exact same problem.
Any ideas? I've tried so many things.

Hmm, do you have Optimus; and have you investigated if it could be the cause? I seem to recall reading somewhere that certain conditions it may control/limit the DP output?

^ Yeah, too true. I disabled Optimus on my 6600 and my Displayport foibles ended.
