I just received my M6600 and I have no brightness control. I tried in the BIOS and in windows, but it seems to be stuck.

According to the Dell rep, this system had its display and motherboard replaced twice, and then later the system itself - hence why it was in outlet.

I assume this is not normal behavior, correct?

Well, I partially figured it out. As it turns out, there was a bent pin - yea 1 pin - on the interposer card and that pin caused the display not to dim. I believe that pin carried the signal to the backlight to increase or decrease.

    Go figure...

That was one problem, but now there are others :/
