I purchased a m6600. I was told it would work with a WiHD reciever wich will display on my TV (as I do with my other computers). I had an M18x which was returned. I was told the M6600 will work with this display adapter but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to connect. My sony LT and the M18x both used a separate piece of software to connect but I can't find it on the M6600. I checked Intel's specs and it says this card is capable of wireless display.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I just got off the phone with Dell ProSupport (as they are sending a tech out for a different issue) but he could not find anything. He stated he was going to look and email me. He agreed that the card is supposed to be capable of it.

    Thanks

No one responded to my request, not sure if people don't care if they have wireless display or not on the M6000 or if people did not know how to make it happen.

I wanted to add, EXACTLY how I solved the problem for future M6600 owners who want to run WiDi for remote displays. This was worked out on Intel’s forum for others. I tried it and it works for M6600 users as well. Not sure why, but it seems Dell has disabled wireless displays on the M6600. No one seems to know why at Dell, nor did they know how to fix it. They kept saying it should be capable of it, and according to Intel’s web site, it is. So I dug deeper….

Here's the ReadMe I created, and I've added notations for the Forum

    1. Run Install.exe inside Intel Wireless Display PV Build 1.2.15.0_64bit (Upgrades the Display driver)
    2. Run Enable My Wifi (Patches registry to allow install of My Wifi)
    a. (File Name: Intel® PROSet/Wireless Basic Enterprise for IT Administrators: Windows 7 64-Bit)
    b. This was the step where I installed the Admin software (includes took kit) from ICS_s64.exe package.
    c. After it was installed I ran the software, gave it a password for a new package.
    d. Went to the applications tab, and ensured that "Install My Wifi Technology" was ticked.
    e. It then asks you to save the .exe - My confusion came when I then tried to run that exe (I named it "Enable My Wifi" - my title for the exe by the way) and it seemed to do NOTHING! It however seems to change the registry, and when you run the ICS_s64 in custom mode, the option to install My Wifi technology is now there!
    3. Run ICS_s64.exe (Custom set-up will now allow you to tick "install My Wifi Technology"
    4. Run Setup2.1.42.0.exe (Installs Widi software)
    5. Run Win7Vista_64_15221.exe (Upgrades the HD Graphics Driver)

    Voila, Widi

Thanks a lot. I was looking for a long time for WiDi support in M6600. Is it working also with AMD FirePro cards?
