M6600 vs M6700 upgradeability

    Hopefully the heatsink that comes with the M6600 is the same where it will work on both cards.

    If it came with the NVIDIA Quadro GPU, then you should be fine.

    If you bought an M6600 with an AMD card, you should be able to use the same heatsink for an NVidia card. I upgraded from a FirePro M8900 to NVidia Quadro k5000M and haven't had any issues.

    I think that there is only one heatsink for the M6600 (Dell P/N 7JMFV, although perhaps there are slight differences, see the post by Scott ). I know this is not the case for the M6700 (see here, the AMD and NVidia heatsinks have different P/N's and labels)

    I noticed that "upgrade monkey" sells a lot of stuff on eBay, just searching for the GeForce 680M that's about the only thing you come up with.
