I'm having a BIG problem with the M6600. I've been using it for about 2 weeks, a few days ago it started to stop every 4 hours without any blue screen or any warning, just like that! Working and suddenly the laptop would shut down!

All I had to do was to restart, of course I had lost all my unsaved datas...

Now it is even worse, it happened again but it started in VGA mode the Quadro 3000M as well as the Intel graphic chip have DISAPPEARED from the system! Windows is running using some motherboard integrated graphic chipset (I guess)...

I restarted 3 times and it is still the same!!

I need your help, I'm at work right now and abroad, I can't even call a DELL guy to fix it, they don't operate where I am.

Check your sistem log in event viewer, it may give you a hint on what went wrong.
I suggest you to check bios log too.
Try to do a system restore using a recent restore point, if available.

Were you on battery or AC (i bet the latter) ?
Do you suspect overheating / have you had any kind of heat issues ?

I've had it happened to me once, too - after rebooting, I noticed my M6600 installed the nVidia driver all by itself (just before that it rebooted by itself, and only one graphics card seemed to be available). When I looked closer, it turned out it got rid of the newest Quadro driver I downloaded from nVidia, and re-installed an older version which is the current one on Dell pages...

    Ain't that funny?

That is the prime reason why I always turn off automatic updates on Windoz. I have had that happen before to me with Windoz 7 on both my machine at work and my wife's netbook.

The thing is mate, I do have auto-update turned off (for the very reasons you mention) - it says when some update is available, but isn't supposed to install by itself... So, it almost looked like my machine didn't like the non-Dell-branded driver, and got rid of it!

    Thanks guys for your replies.

So I made a restore and then went to the BIOS and found out that Optimus was not enabled, so I cheked the box and I eventually had the graphic cards back into the system. Is Optimus disabled as default?

The same exact thing is happening to me. Haven't figured it out yet.

So far I'm getting this error:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_0A5C&PID_5800&MI_01\7&66de6c9&0&0001.

I found a post saying it's related to Logitech keyboards, which I don't own. I do have a Mac 10-key keyboard plugged in, though.

Has anyone ordered the 128GB mSSD and/or the WWAN from Dell?
    If so, what part numbers?

Hopefully someone ordered these as separate orders. If not, for those who ordered these with M6600 system could you post part numbers and details.
    Thanks.

Dell sales are clueless, they can't find the WWAN and they want to sell me the 2.5" SSD.

Is anyone seeing bright flashes of the screen periodically (running Quadro 3K). It's a very bright white out flash of the entire screen that lasts for maybe a 10th of a second. I'm thinking it's a driver issue but am a little concerned it could be in hardware. It doesn't seem to be correlated with any specific activity.

Sometimes happening to me too, with Quadro 4000M and Nvidia Verde 275.33.
Another issue is the screen brightness going up/down randomly at times, with low brightness settings.
