Does anyone know what parts of the M6600 laptop are affected by a strong magnet?
Hard drives are affected only by very strong magnets, and only after a while, and maybe you need to swipe it back and forth. SSDs on the other hand are for the most part safe against even the strongest magnets (Busting the Biggest PC Myths | PCWorld) but what other parts of our laptops are affected by strong magnets?

I'm just wondering to make sure that magnets don't affect our laptops at all. For example, is the touch screen affected by magnets? How about the CPU or the GPU? The battery?

    Edit:
Also did you know that processors only have a lifespan of around 10 years (source in above link)?! I thought they lasted forever!!

How were you able to increase the values past the default Afterburner maximums?

I can't get my core clock above 620MHz or my memory clock above 1625MHz...

Well in the link above, a person from Microprocessor report said that "processors have a 10 year lifespan" (here)

But doing other research, (here), CPUs might last to 20+ years, but yeah, it's not forever ! I had always thought that computers lasted forever, but apparently not!

This is a top of the line 2006 Mac custom laptop which was a Mac mini desktop placed in a box with a monitor (did you know Apple made their first Macbook in 2006?). It boasts a 1.2GHz G4 (1 core) processor, 256MB RAM, and a 40GB Hard Drive. Laptops have really come so far since then...

"At just 3.5x6.5x8.2 inches big, and weighing only 2.5 kilograms, the Mk II was, as far as Peter could tell, the smallest and lightest Mac laptop computer in the world." By today's standards, it's absolutely massive!

Worked just fine, can't notice a difference in start-up speed though

    Edit:

There's actually a slight difference of boot time pre-windows

Confused here, what do you mean by "still" ?

With A12 there seems to be a lag before the dell logo appears. After BIOS load Pre-Windows Fingerprint reader comes up quickly already. Don't know if you're using that security?

Ok saw your update, I guess everything turned out normal.

See why I'm chicken. Can't afford to brick my computer.

While I don't have FDE drive, I do have ControlVault and TPM Activated, just haven't taken time to enable Bitlocker.

LoL, I'll just be happy if it doesn't break anything.

Don't think I've ever felt a performance boost from any BIOS update, maybe some smoother behavior. I would like to see it a little faster from power-on to dell boot logo; that only slows a little after enabling Pre-Windows password.

Thanks for the screen shot of all the changes to be updated.
