Quadro 3000M is roughly the same speed as the 3800M that was in the M6500.

The Quadro 4000M is roughly 40% faster than the 3000M. The 3000M is the slowest card you can buy in the M6600.

How is your battery life for your M6600? did you try any overclocking for GPU?

Ok thanks, I'll take the Kingston HyperX.

How do I install them? For I saw that there were memory locations below the keyboard, and bottom of the computer.

Not trying to save any power, just using the machine as normal, I get a little around 3 hours with Optimus disabled. I get 4-6 with Optimus enabled depending on what I am doing.

I can get 7+ hours if I put it in the max run time power setting and have Optimus enabled. I did this for 3 days straight at a conference.

I noticed something odd. When optimus was enabled I could install the nvidia driver along with physx. Now when I disabled optimus in bios, arkham asylum is saying I do not have a card that supports physx. I tried reinstalling the driver but the physx option is missing from there. Did any of you mess wight his feature?

    Hi Bokeh,

Could you recommend a SSD of 128 GB, 160 GB, or more, and that is mSATA Mini PCIe ?

    Thank you in advance.

Hello, I just bought the Dell M6600 and I want to know:
how load time is needed for an initial battery charge?

With the machine running, the charge rate is around 61 watts. If you have a 97wHr battery, you are filling up that total volume of 97 at a rate of 61wHr per hour - so 1.59 hours.

With the machine off, it pulls 84 watts from the wall, so take off 10% for efficiency losses in the power supply, and assume that 75wHr (84 - 8) is going to the battery. 97wHr / 75wHr = 1.29 hours.

The wrench that gets thrown into these calculations is that as a Li-Ion battery gets close to 100%, the charge rate slows to what is called a trickle charge. So you may get from 5% to 95% in 90 minutes, but have it take another 20 to get from 90% to 100% because the charge rate has been brought down to protect the life of the battery.

At this point I would only personally buy Samsung on Intel mSata drives. I just don't know how well other brands will work in the M6600.

The Samsung 830 drives are being more widely released now, so the prices and availability may get better.
