    Hi. everyone.

I wondering you guys help me out nail down my decision.
    I saw that review of M6600 here. They wouldn't recommend i7 2620m
because its has only 2 cores. I though all i7 has quad core. This one seems similar to i5.......

I am holding this system in dell outlet around $1350.
Should I wait until quad core pops up.. or just go with this.
I dont know much about 2nd Gen i7... please help me out and give some comments.
    Thanks for looking my post.

Processor: Intel Core i7-2620M Dual Core Processor (2.70GHz, 4MB cache)
    Genuine Windows 7 Professional

17.3 Inch UltraSharp FHD(1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare LED-backlit with Premium Panel

I currently use desktop with Core2duo E8600 3.33Ghz. with 8GB RAM and Quadro fx1800. It's 3years old and time to replace it. Now It's not enough for my 3D task.
Usually use Lap's workstation with 8 core Xeon with FX5700 or high.

I am running heavy 3D modeling and rendering and running CS5 in same time most of work. AND I dont want to see CRASH.... I hate this.
Need good laptop for Autodesk Alias and Showcase.
    (Alias is heavier than AutoCAD.)

    Again, Thank you all.

Doesn't seem all that great for the price. It's much cheaper to get the quad now than to upgrade if/when you find out it isn't fast enough for your needs. Maybe someone who uses those applications will have some better input.

    Agreed 100%!

I have seen Quad Core M6600's with much better specs from the Dell Outlet for the exact same price. I would pass on that one.
