M6600 How do I flash M8900 to 6970m?

    I was wondering how I go about flashing my M8900 to a 6970m.

    Why? The performance difference is minimal. I can tell you how, if you still want to know.

    You need to make a bootable thumb drive (there are quite a few guides around the web), find the most recent version of atiflash and copy it to the drive, afterwards copy the 6970m vBIOS file (click here for it), reboot (make sure to make your thumb drive primary booting device) and write the following (without the quotes) "atiflash -f -p 0 biosname*.rom", wait a few seconds and reboot again. That should be it. It's good to save your current BIOS, although you can find it in the same place I linked, the save command is - "atiflash -s 0 biosname*.rom". Good luck!

    *The BIOS name could be anything you want, make sure to be shorter, for less typing.
