    Hi,

I bought the laptop this year just for gaming with much less ($350 USD). It came with the m8900 card which is a underclocked HD 6850. AMD has recklessly ended driver support of that card so I'm considering an GPU upgrade. I'm leaning towards Nvidia such as 5010m or the newer k4000m or k5000m. Gaming cards such as gtx series are greatly appreciated if someone can confirm it works flawlessly.

One of the k4000m card on eBay looks appealing to me: http://m.ebay.ca/itm/162024230949. Could someone confirm that a k4000m card will work in m6600? And what should I pay attention to when upgrading? I heard people mention x-bracket but how's that work and where's a x-bracket attached to?

    Hi,
Yes, K4000M will work in Dell Precision M6600. There is no issue with the stock cooler.
