I know Scott did this, but he seem to be mia ~~ Going to pm him.

Anyone try this? I know the heatsink is the same, according to scott and part list. My major concern is the thickness of thermal pads.

Thought we had photos that indicate that the AMD and NVIDIA cards use a different heatsink. The main difference is the part that makes contact with the actual GPU core... it's raised more on one than the other.

I think that was for M6700 and that the M6600 heatsinks were the same for AMD and Nvidia as originally posted.

The heat sinks are different. Speaking of which.. Does anyone have an experience installing 4000M onto the original heatsink 12DGW 012DGW?

I haven't received the card nor the heatsink yet, but I am about to buy the thermal pads. What thickness should I buy?

    Thanks!

M6600 has same heatsinks for both amd and nvidia. When you switch camps make sure you place thermal pads on all hot gpu components. You can use photos of various geforce cards as reference.
