    So, I called Dell to see how much it would be to upgrade my m6400 512meg card to the 1gb. I wanted to know how much it would cost me if I decided to upgrade later. The price she quoted me for the G92(D949k) was $1819.99. Is that insane or what?

    Not sure if any third parties sell this card, but that price is pretty ridiculous.

    Dell uses a proprietary connection for any modular GPUs they might have in their notebooks. There are no third parties.

    Hey, we don't kid when we say it is practically impossible to upgrade notebook graphics cards.

    Connections might be the same if a similiar card? Maybe. well probably not. But you never know.

    Yeah it's insane, but they just want you to get the bigger card ;)
    After all, for a notebook you should get what you want... If you need a bigger gpu get it, if you need a RGB-LED screen get it... you can upgrade you ram and your hdd, but anything else will be very expensive :eek:
