    Hi Barn,

    where exactly do you get this number from? I looked at the device manager, all I got was PnP Monitor, but no number for that.

    ID is:

    Manufacturer:

    Is that really RGB LED?

    device manager/Monitors/right click on PnP Monitor/Properties/click Details tab, then scroll down to Hardware IDs

    OR......

    If you have everest, go to display/monitor

    I'll take a look at my Covet later. There may be more than one manufacturer though.

    Apart from the great colours, one way to tell if the device is RGB led is to check whether you see any rainbow effect when the screen is black with bright text (bootup for example). If you DON'T see it however, it may still be RGB LED and you aren't susceptible.

    My M4400's (Glossy) RGB LED screen has the same ID, SEC5443 - I was also a bit confused since the CCFL2 screen for M4400 and WLED Screen for M1730 has the same ID... I have no manufacture info of my screen in everest.
