Or anyone else who have the latest DELL laptops...

Have anyone of you removed the "Regulatory Information Under Battery" sticker on the left palm rest yet? This sticker is not like any other sticker.

I tried removing it in my first unit, before i received my current replacement, and it left and thick film underneath so i'm kinda hesitant to do it again. Any safe way to completely remove this thing without leaving any residue?

    Hmm... I hate those...

I have had luck removing obnoxious glue residue in the past using a product called "Goo Gone" or something to that effect. What you do is get a little cut of paper towel the right size for the sticker area, get it damp with the solvent, and let it sit on the glue area for a while.

Note: Damp. Not soaked and dripping.

The idea is the solvent is there but there isn't enough to squish out and run into your keyboard. As a safety you might use additional dry paper towels.

Once the Goo Gone soaks on the residue for a few minutes (maybe half an hour) the stuff should wipe off without a whole lot of complaint.

I haven't tried removing my sticker yet. Thanks for the head's up about it... I don't happen to have any of that stuff around and I'm not sure where to buy it now that I've moved out west. Now I know to pick some up when I travel home in a few weeks.

okay, you know what.. my first unit must have been doomed or something cause the sticker that i have right now, didn't even leave the slightest spec of residue. it came off so easy and left nothing behind....
