    Hi all.

I have until end-of-business Day Monday Sept 21st to make up my mind between M6400 or the w700 and the details on options so I still have some questions that influence my decision.

    I have a 15.4" Insprion 8600 @ that is 1920x1200 (UWXGA) and it is 16:10 apect ratio.. just like the M6400 17" @ 1920x1200.

The only usable 16:10 aspect ratio on the 15.4" on the native 1920x1200 is the 1280x800.. which i use 90% of the time for web and casual usage.. When I do VisualStudio development and Excel/Word stuff I go back to 1920x1200 for maximum visibility (even though its small)

Has anyone tested and used lower resolutions (non-native) on the 17" M6400 that maintaines the 16:10 aspect ratio?

How well does the RGB LED display hold up on running @ sub-native resolutions. does it blur? does it color bleed?.. How well does the Clear-Type Font Rendering look on the RGB LED when running at lower resolutions that are still 16:10???

Or is the RGB LED @ 17" @ 1920x1200 so good and usable for text size that its a non issue and never needed to run @ lower res!

Any serious Frag Gamers out there running Unreal Tournament or Crysis on their RGB LED at sub-native resolutions?

The last thing I want to do is have to swap the Display in the first 30 Days because i'm not happy with the RGB Display

I realize this is very subjective visual opinion type stuff.... but i'm interested in both Positive and Negative comments.

    I'm all ears!

    Hi
I have the M6300 an the M6400 both have 1920x1200 on 17". I use both Machines mostly with the native resolution.

To the RGB LED in my M6400 its brilliant, i use it with Visual Studio 2008

Also Gaming on sub nativ Resolutions are no prob.

Testing Crysis and Resident Evil 5 on my M6400, both are smooth an d looking Great in all resolutions i tested.

    Regards
    Christopher
