It seems there is a shortage of WUXGA RGB LED displays...

I asked a Dell rep about the M4400's RGB availability and she told me sometime in October.

Guess we just have to wait:(

Dang, I saw this thread moved back to the top of the forum and thought someone was posting that the LED was available.

    Still waiting...

But I don't mind waiting so much right now anyway. They reduced the discount by $100 bucks a couple weeks ago, but threw in a "free 19" LCD". Um... if the price goes up 100 bucks, the monitor isn't really free now is it Dell?

Anyway, the monitor is still probably worth more than $100 if that's your thing. But I'm holding out for the LED and a QX9300 price drop.

My rep said they'll be released at the end of the month. It was pushed back because of engineering reasons.

Is the Covet Edge to Edge screen matte or that glossy shiny glass some notebooks have, any idea?

The E2E RGB LED Display is a truelife Display, which means it is glossy.

If I may ask (and if anyone here knows), will someone who isn't doing print imaging really notice the difference between 70% and 100% gamut in day to day use? (Wondering if the matte, 72% gamut, 400 nit screen on the W700 might be preferable to 100% gamut and glossy for people who compute in bright environments... I like to work outside and a quick search revealed some unhappiness with glare levels on the TrueLife displays.)
