I did a search and didn't find this specific issue. I received an M6400 as a replacement system and have an issue with no sound coming out of the headphone jack. I plugged external speakers as well as headphones and made sure the audio configuration is correct. Never had this issue on othe Dell notebooks before. The internal speakers work and i managed to fix the garbled sound problem and popping sounds (hopefully). (It is beyond me how Dell can ship something with preconfigured problems like this). Anyway, has anyone had this headphone jack issue or know how to fix it. Thanks! :)

I fixed the problem by reinstalling the IDT driver.
