So I've been trying to troubleshoot my M6400 frequent locking up problem. What ends up happening is my dual external screens just goes blank and I'm forced to a do hard shut down. The initial restart sequence takes about 5 minutes as opposed to 1-2 minutes for a normal restart sequence.

I just noticed that my 2 hard drive RAID0 setup has 2 different hard drive brands. One Seagate and the other Fujitsu. Both have the same specs when I open up the Intel Matrix Storage Manager, but I'm just curious if there's more to it that is not reported.

I'm also running Diskeeper 2009. Does anyone with a 2 hard drive setup M6400 Covet have 2 different hard drive brands or did Dell just mess up my order? Thanks in advance.

I have 2 250Gig Drives as well. One was a Segate and one was a Fujitsu. I am not running in RAID and I replaced the Fujitsu with a 128GB Samsung SSD when I frist got the machine,

I have also ordered a covet with two 320 GB Harddrives
Shipped was like yours with two differend brands with the same specs
When i am at home i will take a closer look to them and edit in here which brands they are, but this should not be a problem for RAID 0 RAID 1 or none RAID configurations
    Edit:
Its a Western Digital and a Fujitsu

    regards

I had 2 different brands as well with my standard M6400. Though I also replaced one drive with a 500GB 5400RPM.
