m6400 cover lid *loose*

I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem be it the Covet or the Silver versions, but my *silver* cover lid is kinda loose. Like when you have the lid shut, it still has some play.

Is there maybe a way to tighten the "square hooks" so it hooks tighter??

 

Even if you don't have this problem, can any m6400 owner please reply. I just want to know if i'm the only one.

I don't have this laptop, but perhaps it might be best for you to give a call to Dell, perhaps it plays in your laptop warranty and get it fixed. Sorry for not being very helpful.

 

I've just about everything on the M6400 and yours is the first I've seen. Contact Dell they will take care of the M6400.

 

The lid on my Covet is sturdy. It can be torqued slightly but does not move on the hinges except for open and closed.

 

My lid is exatly the same on my Covet bunta - When it is shut there are a few mms of 'play' but the lid is completely locked. If you look in the crack you can see the hooks. Personally it doesn't bother me, and it may in fact be the way the system is designed.
