Today I made a big mistake, my big and heavy stapler felt down on top of my M6400 cover, the stapler made of steel and pretty heavy, not even a single scratch on the cover, pretty strong design and build, congratulations to Dell, maybe I am lucky

i jumped on my m4400 before i returned it. it passed with flying colours. even shifting my weight on the lid did not cause much flexing.

Are the lids interchangeable with the E6500?

m4400 and e6500 lids are interchangable, but why change it? they're both solid mag alloy

i dont think so, because it bears a malaysian service tag. they cant sell it in the UK.

also, it went back to dell for analysis, because there were lots of issues. i dint return it thru the normal channels

i did it because thats how dell demonstrated it when they launched their "tri metal chassis" when the D series came out.

    lol

also keep in mind that the tech that came to replace my motherboard broke my screen bezel, dislodged the insert key from my keyboard, broke my speaker grille, bent my palmrest, and also almost snapped my wireless card in half.

if it goes back to the outlet, whoever that buys it is gonna have much more to worry about than me jumping on it

    OK, now you're excused :D
The laptop was indeed a lemon before you returned it.

You should always give the context before saying you jumped on a laptop before you returned it; we dont want to condone abuse of laptops before they are returned in general.

Know if that 'tech' is still employed with DELL by any chance? jeez...I've heard that story before, unbelievable....I think I'd smash the motherboard over his head or something....LOL
